MDS Mentoring Program
The MDS Mentoring Program empowers black women globally by mentoring the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs. Launched in 2020, MDS began with the AKF Foundation in Ghana, where it mentored 30 girls transitioning from university to employment. The program has facilitated over 500 mentoring sessions and 4 employability workshops, with 85% of mentees achieving their goals. In 2024, MDS expanded its reach to Tanzania, St. Lucia, and Jamaica, increasing its mentor base by 50%. The program continues to provide invaluable support to mentees through access to over 40 black female role models.

Project One Million
Project One Million is committed to empowering underserved communities in Ghana by providing accessible, quality education and addressing barriers such as menstrual equity. The organisation runs academic empowerment workshops and reading clubs, equipping women and girls with the skills and knowledge to succeed. Through collaboration with nurses, it hosts menstrual health talks, promotes open conversations, and operates pad banks in five schools, providing over 300 reusable pad kits and more than 2,000 disposable pads. These initiatives contribute to creating an equitable society, ensuring women and girls have the resources and opportunities needed for a brighter future.
CAMFED

CAMFED is dedicated to addressing poverty and inequality by expanding educational opportunities for girls and empowering young women as leaders of change. Operating in Ghana, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, CAMFED offers holistic support to girls, from secondary to tertiary education, ensuring they complete their educational cycles. Beyond education, CAMFED provides tailored pathways for girls to transition into secure livelihoods through further education, employment, or entrepreneurship. Working collaboratively with communities, CAMFED co-creates solutions that transform systems and ensure the well-being of girls and young women, while upholding safeguarding standards.
