Extra Mile Development
Extra Mile Development (EMDEF) is a young women-led nonprofit in Malawi dedicated to empowering marginalized children, girls, and young women through education, health, and economic initiatives. We reduce barriers to quality education, improve WASH services in schools and communities, and promote sustainable farming for better livelihoods. Our health programs address SRHR, HIV/AIDS, mental health, and GBV awareness. Through our Menstrual Hygiene Management program, we’ve impacted over 4,000 girls, while our school readmission efforts have reintegrated 69 students. We also provide mentorship in STEM, bursaries, and economic opportunities for adolescent mothers and women to foster financial independence.
