Their "Economic Integration of Teenage Mothers" project has trained 300 young mothers in vocational skills, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship, boosting their economic independence. JOSA HOPE CARE & SHARE CENTRE CBO
JOSA HOPE CARE & SHARE CENTRE CBO is dedicated to educating and empowering girls in Nyamira County, Kenya. Since its inception, the organisation has supported young women who have gone on to excel in corporate and business sectors, becoming changemakers in their families and communities. One success story is Mercy, who, in 2009, received sponsorship from a dedicated teacher when she faced financial barriers to education. With this support, she graduated with honours and has since helped her younger siblings complete secondary school. Mercy’s journey reflects the organisation’s broader impact—transforming lives through education and empowerment.
Kathambi Chepkwony Foundation
The Kathambi Chepkwony Foundation is dedicated to uplifting women and girls in Njoro, Kenya, through education, empowerment, and community support. KIOTA empowers young girls (ages 10–35) in Mombasa County, Kenya, through education, mentorship, and economic opportunities. The Dignity to All program provides mentorship on sexual health, menstrual hygiene, and cultural values, equipping girls with confidence and informed decision-making skills. KIOTA also conducts community outreach and peer-led workshops on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) to support young women in underserved areas. The organization promotes economic empowerment through vocational training and business mentorship, helping girls like Sharleen Makaji work toward sustainable livelihoods. Additionally, the SCORE Program nurtures young women’s leadership, preparing them to become advocates and community role models.

Madiaba CBO is committed to women’s empowerment and environmental conservation in Kenya, East Africa. With a focus on interactive learning, Mama Yetu Guide fosters adaptability, skill development, and personal growth for a better future.
Mojatu Women CBO
Mojatu Women CBO empowers communities by focusing on women and girls, promoting safe, healthy, and productive environments. The organisation provides skills development training, tackles FGM, GBV, and DV through community workshops, and offers micro-loans to women and girls in marginalised areas for economic empowerment. Mojatu Women has equipped 200 women with job skills, conducted 20 workshops on FGM and GBV prevention, and supported 50 women entrepreneurs. Additionally, menstrual health education and supplies have been provided to 150 adolescent girls, reducing absenteeism in schools. The organisation also volunteers at local shelters to support survivors of domestic violence.

Molo Constituency Forest Association empowers women and youth in Rift Valley, Kenya, by building resilience to climate change through education and capacity-building initiatives. My Body My Body is dedicated to advocating for the rights of marginalized women and girls through Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) education, gender advocacy, and social behavior change strategies. Operating in Trans Nzoia and beyond, the organisation tackles teenage pregnancy and promotes economic empowerment through initiatives like the Stawisha Dada Mashinani project. In ASAL counties such as Marsabit, Isiolo, and Mandera, My Body My Body has distributed over 6,100 sanitary pads to improve menstrual health management. The organisation also fights Gender-Based Violence (GBV) through awareness campaigns and interactive tools like the 'What Would You Do' game cards, engaging communities to combat Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and child marriage. Through advocacy and grassroots interventions, My Body My Body is driving lasting change for women and girls in Kenya.

Path Youth Organisation empowers vulnerable children and young people, especially girls, by providing access to education and opportunities. Their Literacy and Numeracy Project has improved foundational skills for over 2,000 young girls, while mental health literacy sessions support female students' well-being. Patinaai Osim Community Care Organisation is dedicated to amplifying the voices, skills, and resilience of indigenous women, youth, and children in Kajiado County, Kenya. We advance education, economic empowerment, sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR), environmental sustainability, and gender equality to create long-lasting change. Our Early Childhood Education program has impacted over 1,500 children, while our vocational training equips women with tailoring and business skills for financial independence. Through SRHR advocacy, we promote menstrual hygiene and anti-FGM efforts, collaborating with county and national policy groups. Our climate resilience initiatives focus on tree planting, land rights, and engaging men and boys in gender justice. By fostering knowledge, sustainability, and empowerment, Patinaai Osim is shaping a future where indigenous women and youth thrive as leaders of change.

Pendant of Hope
Pendant of Hope is dedicated to empowering both genders to reach their full potential and contribute positively to society. Focused on issues such as Menstrual Health Hygiene Management, Gender-Based Violence, Mental Health, Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), HIV/AIDS, and Genital Mutilation, the organisation drives change through projects like "PADS FOR HER." This initiative has raised and distributed over 10,000 sanitary towels to schools, mosques, churches, women’s prisons, slums, and street families. Pendant of Hope also advocates for tax exemptions on menstrual products, policies for menstrual leave, and ensuring access to menstrual products in the workplace.

Pendo Tendo Initiative
The Pendo Tendo Initiative strives to create inclusive opportunities for vulnerable children and youth in Kajiado County, enabling them to thrive in safe, informed, and stimulating environments. The organisation works to combat sexual and gender-based violence, FGM, early and forced marriages, and promotes women’s economic empowerment. Through advocacy, rescue efforts, and partnerships, Pendo Tendo raises awareness about the harms of these practices and pushes for inclusive policies that ensure girls have access to education, health, and dignity. Additionally, the initiative works to bridge economic inequalities and address the impacts of climate change on women and girls.

Safe Community Youth Initiative
Safe Community Youth Initiative is dedicated to advancing equity and excellence for girls and young women in Kenya. The organisation focuses on providing education, livelihood opportunities, and life skills training. Founded by passionate individuals, the initiative has successfully implemented life skills and entrepreneurship programs both in and out of schools across over 25 schools along the Kenyan Coast. Despite operating on a voluntary basis and without funding, Safe Community Youth Initiative continues to empower young girls and women by equipping them with essential skills for personal development and economic independence.

Samburu Girls Foundation
Samburu Girls Foundation (SGF) is dedicated to protecting and empowering pastoralist girls in Samburu County, Kenya, ensuring they receive education and protection from harm. Through rescue, rehabilitation, and advocacy, SGF works to end child marriage, female genital mutilation (FGM), and other harmful practices that hinder girls' personal development. The foundation provides safe shelter, legal intervention, and life skills training, enabling girls to reclaim their futures. By supporting survivors like Mary—who escaped forced marriage to pursue education—SGF transforms lives, creating a generation of empowered young women who advocate for gender equality and community change.

She’s Afrique Hub empowers young rural women and girls through leadership development, civic education, and advocacy for gender equality. The organisation establishes Heroines Clubs in schools, nurturing future leaders and fostering confidence. Additionally, She’s Afrique Hub conducts civic education sessions, equipping women and girls with knowledge of their constitutional rights and access to justice. Through these initiatives, the organisation ensures that grassroots communities are informed, inspired, and empowered to drive lasting social change.
Sisters of Jerop Intitiative
Sisters of Jerop Initiative empowers girls and women in Baringo County through mentorship, education support, and sustainable agriculture. The organisation provides dignity kits to rural girls and helps teenage mothers return to school. Through its agroecology programme, women receive organic manure and vegetable seedlings to establish nursery beds, promoting food security and economic independence. Recognising the impact of this work, the local government has donated public land to expand tree, vegetable, and fruit nurseries, fostering long-term community resilience.

Support Community in Democracy Alliance (SCODA) partners with marginalized communities to foster sustainable and meaningful change through democratic institutions. The organisation advances human rights advocacy by promoting justice, equality, and governance accountability. SCODA also champions environmental justice, ensuring fair policies that protect vulnerable groups from environmental harm. Its gender, children, and social inclusion initiatives work to eliminate barriers preventing marginalized groups from fully participating in society. Additionally, SCODA strengthens access to healthcare and education, rescuing children from school dropouts and early marriages while promoting informed decision-making. Through community action groups and paralegal-led advocacy, SCODA empowers individuals to drive change.

Teach for Kenya
Teach for Kenya is committed to advancing Sustainable Development Goal 4 by addressing education inequality and ensuring every Kenyan child receives their right to quality education, regardless of their socio-economic background. Through their "Let Girls Thrive" project, Teach for Kenya is actively working to sensitise communities on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and challenging negative gender norms, particularly in learning environments. The project mobilises boys, girls, and teachers in classrooms to incorporate gender-responsive pedagogies, promoting gender equality and inclusivity within partner schools. This initiative aims to create safer, more equitable educational spaces for all students.
Teenage Mums Empowerment
Teenage Mums Empowerment (TMEP) in Nairobi, Kenya, is dedicated to raising awareness about the root causes of teenage pregnancy and the challenges faced by teenage mothers. The organization empowers school dropouts by providing vocational skills training in areas such as nail art and beauty care. TMEP also offers emotional and psychological support through partnerships with counsellors, providing mentorship programs and counseling services to help teenage mothers navigate their challenges. Through advocacy and awareness campaigns, TMEP engages with the community in schools, churches, and busy streets. The Femiscope Initiative
The Femiscope Initiative co-creates sustainable solutions with adolescent girls by providing mentorship, education, and safe spaces that nurture self-awareness, resilience, and leadership. Since 2021, the initiative has mentored over 1,200 girls across Githurai, Huruma, and Kamulu, focusing on SRHR, mental health, gender-based violence prevention, and career development. Collaborating with schools and community partners, it offers tailored programs for teen mothers and GBV survivors, alongside skills development and advocacy efforts. Engaging boys as allies in gender equality further strengthens its impact. By tackling stigma, gender inequality, and poverty, Femiscope fosters empowered communities and brighter futures for women and girls.
United empowerment Center
United Empowerment Center strengthens communities by providing economic empowerment opportunities for youth, women, and people with disabilities in Kenya’s Rift Valley region. Through training programs on self-awareness, legal protection, and gender-based violence prevention, the center equips individuals with the knowledge and skills to advocate for their rights and build sustainable livelihoods. Additionally, counseling services offer crucial support for those affected by social injustices, fostering resilience and well-being.
Voice for Disabled People Association
VDPA advocates for the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Kakuma Refugee Camp and Kalobeyei Settlement, ensuring their full participation in society. Led primarily by individuals with disabilities, VDPA promotes self-reliance through livelihood programs, inclusive education, and access to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). By fostering economic empowerment, advocating for disability rights, and supporting inclusive sports, we create opportunities for PWDs to lead independent and dignified lives. Through our work, VDPA strives to build a more inclusive community where everyone has equal access to education, opportunities, and social participation.
Women of Greatness
Women of Greatness, based in Nairobi’s city slums, is dedicated to empowering marginalized women through economic sustainability initiatives. The organization offers tailored vocational training, financial literacy workshops, and microloans to help women start and sustain small businesses. A recent initiative supported 50 women in launching enterprises, leading to a 40% increase in household income for participants. These programs are designed to address the unique challenges faced by women in slum communities, equipping them with essential skills and resources for long-term economic stability. Through advocacy, Women of Greatness also works to raise awareness of women’s rights and drive systemic change, helping women become financially independent and active contributors to their communities.

WOSWA actively campaigns for gender equality and women’s rights, using advocacy, awareness programs, and partnerships to foster equity in educational institutions. Their advocacy led to the amendment of university acts, ensuring gender equality in student leadership. The organization also provides safe spaces and support services for survivors of gender-based violence and works to strengthen protective measures for women and girls. WOSWA's work includes fighting against teenage pregnancies, child marriages, and period poverty, as well as offering mentorship programs to guide young women’s personal and professional growth, with a focus on supporting girl-led initiatives and access to justice.

Yna Kenya is dedicated to empowering women, protecting the environment, and revolutionizing last-mile delivery in Africa through sustainable electric motorcycle services. Focused on women’s empowerment, Yna Kenya provides economic opportunities for women by training them as electric motorcycle riders, challenging traditional gender roles and offering a pathway to financial independence. This initiative not only empowers women but also promotes environmentally friendly, efficient, and inclusive transportation solutions, contributing to sustainable development and improved livelihoods for women in the region.
Youth Empowerment Movement Kenya
Youth Empowerment Movement Kenya (YEM Kenya) advances Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) through advocacy, information provision, and digital health interventions. Programmes focus on access to age-appropriate Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE), ensuring adolescents and young people in all their diversities receive accurate and inclusive knowledge. Efforts promote meaningful youth engagement across social and health platforms, LGBTQ+ rights, and access to safe and legal abortion for survivors of sexual violence. YEM Kenya also advocates for SRHR services and commodities, including contraception access. Strategies include policy advocacy, digital campaigns, media engagement, and storytelling, fostering awareness and reducing stigma. The Young People Collective Action Project successfully increased awareness among adolescent girls and young women, improving access to reproductive health information and services to support informed life planning.
