Attara Trust empowers women in Zimbabwe by providing essential entrepreneurial skills to foster economic independence. Through training programs and workshops, the Trust equips women with practical knowledge in business management, marketing, and financial literacy, addressing the challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in both urban and rural areas. This support enables women to start and grow their businesses, creating sustainable livelihoods and contributing to their communities. The Trust's efforts have garnered recognition, with Joseline Sithole, a key figure in the initiative, being nominated for the IVLP Award for Emerging Women in the SME Sector in Africa.

Chenjedzo Trust

Elevation Zimbabwe

Elevation Zimbabwe is focused on empowering young people in Manicaland and beyond by equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to build self-reliant futures. Targeting youth aged 3 to 24 years, with a strong emphasis on gender equality, the organization provides socio-economic empowerment through health and well-being education. Their annual community events have helped girls by offering vital resources such as hygiene kits, sanitary pads, and undergarments.

Feminist Leadership and Economic Empowerment Initiative (FemLEAD)

FemLEAD is a grassroots feminist organization committed to empowering women and girls from vulnerable communities in Zimbabwe. Their mission is to build societies where women’s experiences, identities, and strengths are fully utilized to achieve their potential. FemLEAD focuses on leadership and economic advancement, supporting women and girls in strengthening their skills, capacities, and self-confidence. The organization helps improve livelihoods through initiatives like small-scale farming and gardening projects, while also advocating for equitable policies that support young women and girls. FemLEAD’s work also includes policy influencing and applying feminist values to ensure accountability and the inclusion of women and girls’ needs in local and national decisions.

Flames and Liles Climate Initiative

Flames and Lilies Climate Initiative empowers adolescent girls and young women in Zimbabwe by equipping them with knowledge and skills to address climate change and disaster management. Through safe learning spaces and co-learning sessions, participants gain insights into climate science, adaptation strategies, and feminist participatory action research. Over the past three months, the initiative has engaged 90 young women, fostering leadership and practical problem-solving in environmental challenges. Committed to expanding its reach, Flames and Lilies aims to empower more girls across Africa, ensuring their voices shape climate policies and drive impactful action in their communities.

Girls and Women Empowerment Network

Girls and Women Empowerment Network (GWEN) is dedicated to advancing the rights and empowerment of adolescent girls and young women in Zimbabwe. Through community dialogues and awareness campaigns, GWEN educates young women, particularly domestic and care workers, about their rights and benefits. By engaging community leaders, in-school youth, and young couples, the organisation fosters advocacy and systemic change. GWEN’s initiatives address gender equality, economic empowerment, and the eradication of sexual and gender-based violence, ensuring that young women have the knowledge and support to claim their rights and thrive in all spheres of life.

Help Her Heal

Help Her Heal is an online platform connecting GBV survivors with a network of service providers, including state and non-state actors. By offering holistic support, the platform ensures rapid response and access to essential services for women and girls affected by gender-based violence in Zimbabwe.

Jedidiah Trust

Jedidiah Trust is dedicated to empowering women in prison and supporting the girls left behind through comprehensive child protection, psychosocial support, and educational programs across Zimbabwe. The organisation provides vocational training, counselling, and reintegration support for incarcerated women, helping them develop skills for successful societal reintegration. Jedidiah Trust also offers educational resources and emotional support to children affected by parental incarceration, breaking the cycle of crime. Through advocacy and community engagement, the trust raises awareness of the struggles faced by these women and children, ensuring their rights and well-being are championed across the continent.

Kunashe Foundation

"Kunashe Foundation is committed to ensuring the social and economic inclusion of women and young people across Zimbabwe. Their mission focuses on women's empowerment, leadership development, menstrual health and hygiene, and financial literacy and inclusion. Through their annual plan, they aim to train over 2,000 women and reach over 50,000 people through online communities. Over the past five years, the foundation has directly impacted more than 12,000 women and girls, providing training in key areas such as menstrual health, financial literacy, and leadership development. As a result, they have seen increased school participation, fewer dropouts, a reduction in child pregnancies, and greater socio-economic involvement within the communities served. The foundation is committed to growing this impact over time, ensuring long-term development and empowerment for women and girls. "

Let Girls Thrive Lusulu

Let Girls Thrive Lusulu empowers girls in marginalized rural communities in Binga, Zimbabwe, to reach their full potential through education, advocacy, and support. The organization addresses period poverty by sewing and distributing reusable sanitary pads, promotes menstrual hygiene, and organizes campaigns against early marriage and teen pregnancy. Let Girls Thrive Lusulu partners with local organizations to provide vocational training and economic opportunities for girls and young women. These initiatives have led to increased school enrollment and retention, as well as a reduction in early marriages and teen pregnancies, creating a brighter future for girls and their communities.

Men 4 Equality Trust

Men 4 Equality Trust is committed to fostering gender equality and preventing gender-based violence by engaging men and boys as allies in the fight for women’s rights. Based in Zimbabwe, the organisation conducts community workshops, school programs, and advocacy initiatives to challenge harmful stereotypes, promote healthy relationships, and educate young men on consent and respect. Through partnerships with local leaders and policymakers, Men 4 Equality Trust ensures that women’s voices are heard in decision-making processes, contributing to a cultural shift towards a more gender-just society across the region.

Mukadzi Munhuwo Women's Forum

Mukadzi Munhuwo Women's Forum works towards a world where women are empowered, gender-based violence (GBV) is eradicated, and equality prevails. Based in Mashonaland West Province (Zimbabwe), the forum has provided support to 200 GBV survivors, mentored 150 girls, improving 90% of their academic performance, and trained 100 women in vocational skills, helping them start businesses. With 500 community members engaged in gender equality workshops, they also distributed sanitary products to 300 girls and integrated comprehensive sexuality education into local schools, benefiting 1000 students. The forum further supports 50 women in accessing reproductive health services for improved maternal healthcare.

Precious Hearts Haven

Precious Hearts Haven is dedicated to eliminating, reducing, and preventing sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) against women and girls in rural and vulnerable communities of Zimbabwe. We empower survivors through counseling, legal assistance, skills training, and safe shelter services. Our counseling and support programs help survivors heal from trauma, while our legal aid services ensure women and girls can access justice and protection. Through skills training workshops, we promote economic independence, reducing vulnerability to abuse. Our awareness campaigns educate communities on women’s rights and SGBV prevention, fostering a culture of respect. Additionally, our safe shelter services provide a secure refuge for survivors, giving them the support they need to rebuild their lives. At Precious Hearts Haven, we are committed to creating a future where every woman and girl can live free from violence and fear.

Rivkah Organization is committed to advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) for women and girls in Zimbabwe. Through education, empowerment, and advocacy, we equip individuals with the knowledge and resources to make informed decisions about their health. Our work includes awareness campaigns, counseling services, essential SRHR support, and advocacy for sexual rights to promote gender equality. Skill Up Impact empowers women and youth in Africa through digital and vocational skills, creating opportunities for personal and professional growth. The organisation hosts digital literacy events, equipping women with essential skills for remote work, entrepreneurship, and leadership. Through initiatives like the Digital Skills for Women programme, participants gain knowledge in digital marketing, e-commerce, and online business management. Additionally, mentorship programmes connect young girls with accomplished female leaders in business and technology, providing guidance and inspiration. The Greater Light Trust

The Greater Light Trust focuses on empowering women, children, and disabled individuals through livelihood support, education, sports, and information dissemination. Based in Zimbabwe, the organisation prioritises the provision of sexual reproductive health rights (SRHR) and sexual gender violence (SGV) information and services. Vision Africa has also tackled the issue of sanitary wear by training young women in the production of reusable sanitary products, promoting sustainability in menstrual hygiene management. Additionally, the organisation mentors women annually in personal development, fostering leadership and self-empowerment. Through these initiatives, Vision Africa advocates for progressive policies on sanitary wear and women's rights.

Young Africa Intellectuals

Young African Intellectuals envisions a resilient society that embraces youth-led solutions to address health and socio-economic challenges affecting young people and women in marginalized communities. Their mission is to promote inclusive youth-led solutions for social development, focusing on education, health promotion, social cohesion, economic strengthening, and leadership. The organization emphasizes life skills development, research, and training to equip communities with the knowledge and tools to address emerging challenges.

Young Women Empowerment Trust

The Young Women Empowerment Trust (YWET) is dedicated to fostering transformative leadership among young women aged 15-35 in Zimbabwe. Through online capacity-building training, YWET has equipped hundreds of young women with essential skills such as public speaking, advocacy, and entrepreneurship, empowering them to drive change in their communities. Their inclusive education initiatives target underprivileged communities, providing pathways for young girls to access quality education and mentorship. YWET’s commitment is evident in their efforts to create a generation of courageous female leaders who will champion equality and justice across the continent.

Youth Aspire Development Trust

Youth Aspire Development Trust empowers young people through evidence-based programmes that promote health and socio-economic development in Harare, Chitungwiza, and Seke Rural District. SRHR advocacy initiatives provide workshops and community outreach to educate young women and girls about their sexual and reproductive health rights, enabling informed decision-making. HIV prevention efforts focus on reducing transmission among vulnerable groups through testing, counselling, and treatment services. Youth leadership development fosters confidence and advocacy skills through mentorship programmes, equipping young women to lead community initiatives. Economic empowerment programmes offer vocational training and entrepreneurship support, enabling financial independence and long-term sustainability.

Youth Health Network

Youth Health Network Africa (YoHeNA) empowers diverse youth through innovative programs aimed at ending new HIV/TB infections, mental health disorders, GBV, and non-communicable diseases. The organization focuses on youth health promotion, particularly targeting adolescent girls and young women in Zimbabwe. Through comprehensive health education, sexual and reproductive health services, and mental health support, YoHeNA equips young women with skills, resources, and knowledge for economic empowerment.
