AFWAG Welcomes A New Co-CEO
We’re stepping into a new chapter, one rooted in our values, prepared for our future, and reflective of everything we’ve built together. We are pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Abba Kidenda as Interim Co-CEO of AFWAG, effective 1 September 2025. Abba has been a quiet powerhouse behind so much of what makes AFWAG strong. As the inaugural Head of Network Growth & Engagement, she led the expansion of our movement from zero to almost 300 organisations across 23 African countries. She has been instrumental in shaping our ecosystem, growing partnerships, and living out the leadership we speak about. While Abba takes on the day-to-day leadership of AFWAG, Dr. Vongai remains deeply engaged as Founder and Co-CEO, guiding long-term direction, stewarding key partnerships, and holding the wider vision of where we’re going.
